Yesterday (July 5), FX released a new trailer for the network's upcoming show Atlanta, starring actor/rapper/comedian Donald Glover. The 45-second clip features the 32-year-old Glover waking up in many different settings surrounded by a variety of people.

The brief teaser places Glover in seven different scenarios in which he's abruptly awoken. From a rambunctious toddler, to a noisy vacuum, to a jam-packed studio session, Gambino just can't seem to find peace and quiet. Meanwhile, Flume's track "Sleepless" plays in the background.

The video's description states, "Starring and created by Donald Glover, Atlanta revolves around two cousins on their way up through the Atlanta rap scene whose opposing views on art versus commerce, success and race will make their quest anything but easy."

The previous Atlanta promo, which aired during Game 3 of the NBA Finals, features Glover handing out flyers for what is likely a rap show.

In January, Childish spoke with Deadline about his choice to film the new show in ATL.

He says, "I know it’s going to be very easy for people to say ‘It’s a black Mecca,’ and it is, but I just think that it’s the most American place. Everybody there is like ‘Yo, I got a verse.’ Everybody is trying to make something from nothing. I believe everybody has a situation, and I wanted to show real people in real situations… I wanted to make it a regional thing.”

Atlanta will premiere on September 6 on the popular cable TV network. The first season will consist of 10 episodes. You can watch the new trailer above via FX's YouTube page.
