Fans waiting for Drake to drop a new project will have to wait until next year. Drizzy recently announced that his next album, tentatively titled More Life, will arrive in 2017.

On Saturday (Dec. 10), Drake’s manager, Oliver El-Khatib, revealed on OVOSOUND Radio that the project has been postponed until early next year.

“More Life is coming at the top of 2017,” said El-Khatib, who didn’t share the reason behind the delay. “Stay tuned for some more updates.”

Drake also announced the album delay on his Instagram page as well. In the video above, Drake is playing basketball on his buddies and landing shots from half-court like he's Steph Curry. The OVO Sound leader wrote in the caption that he’s grateful that his ankle has healed up. He then added that More Life is coming in 2017.

Originally due in December, More Life has been described as a "playlist" and features production from London on Da Track and other hitmakers. Back in October, Drake debuted three tunes from the album including "Sneakin'" featuring in-demand rapper 21 Savage and "Fake Love."

It’s no question that Drake was winning in 2016. And next year, it looks like he’s continuing his winning streak. The 30-year-old rapper heads to the 2017 Grammy Awards in February with eight nominations, including Album of the Year for Views, much to the chagrin of critics.

In the end, Drake season is hardly over. It’s just getting started.
