Drake is bringing his favorite U.K. show to America. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Drizzy has partnered with Netflix to resurrect Top Boy, a British crime drama that aired on Channel 4 in the U.K. for two seasons before ending in 2013.

The streaming network, which retains the global rights to the first two season of Top Boy and will premiere the third season in 2019 as a Netflix original.

The original creative team of Top Boy will return to produce the third season with Drake executive producing alongside his business partner, Adel "Future" Nur, with Maverick Carter and Jamal Henderson for LeBron James' SpringHill Entertainment banner.

Top Boy is described as a U.K. version of the critically acclaimed HBO drama The Wire, but instead of the drug-infested streets of Baltimore, the series' narrative takes place in the vindictive streets of London.

In THR's cover story, Drake fell in love with the series after catching the original on YouTube and was taken with its depiction of London as both beautiful and malevolent. "That human element drew me in," he said. Netflix vp originals Cindy Holland also noted that it was Drake's passion for the series that "drove its resurrection."

Elsewhere in the interview, Drake revealed that he might take a year off from rapping to pursue a film career.

"I'm sure I'll stop [making music] one day," said the OVO Sound leader. "When it starts to feel like I'm making it up. Hopefully I'll catch it before I ever get there, right? But right now it feels like we just started, so I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. But I do plan on expanding — to take six months or a year to myself and do some great films. Music's always there."
