Bad news if your “light at the end of the tunnel” to all of this was the hope of going to Forest in September.

Last night, Thursday, the Rothbury Village Council voted to reject a proposal to move Electric Forest from June 25-28th to September 10-13th  amid the coronavirus pandemic.  The Oceana County Press reports the vote was 5-2

The vote forces festival organizers to cancel this year’s festival, which would have been Electric Forest’s 10th year.

According to Oceana County Press, concerns were noise when kids are back in school and from the sheriff who also worried about the kids and school, but was concerned with festival-goers possibly spreading COVID-19 to the jail.

Organizers were hoping to postpone until September but also acknowledged to the Oceana County Press that past the Village council, there were still numerous other agencies and government entities that would also have to approve.

Still no info on from the Electric Forest website, but I'm sure info on tickets being refunded or what-not will be posted soon.
