After hours of emergency personnel fighting a massive explosion and secondary blasts at a warehouse in Clinton Township, the authorities are continuing to process what happened.

What Is Happening In Clinton Township?
For more than an hour, hundreds of explosions were heard in the Detroit suburb of Clinton Township on Monday, March 4th.

The explosions and fire came from a business building that houses Select Distributors. The supplier kept nitrous oxide tanks, novelty items, and general merchandise in this building.
Residents and businesses in the area were asked to evacuate by the Clinton Township police. Residents up to 10 miles away in Macomb Township reported hearing persistent loud bangs for over an hour.

Is Anyone Injured From The Explosion?
A firefighter was injured during the explosions. Click On Detroit shared a statement from officials.
"A firefighter was also injured while responding to the blaze Monday night. He sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital and quickly released."
Sadly, a 19-year-old lost his life while observing the explosion.
"The teenager was believed to be struck by a canister of combustible material that shot out of the blaze amid continuous explosions at a business called Select Distributors, located at 15 Mile Road and Groesbeck Highway. The 19-year-old, identified only as a male, was taken to the hospital Monday night, and died around 4 a.m. Tuesday, police said at a press conference."
