From the moment Future's self-titled album hit the Internet, the project's track, "Mask Off," was deemed an absolute hit. With its hypnotizing flute and Future's instantly catchy hook, the song was everywhere, and like almost anything worthy of large-scale praise or condemnation, it also became the subject of myriad memes. Now it's become something a good bit more wholesome.

Enter the "Mask Off" Challenge, the latest social media trend to take hold of rap fans everywhere. This trend sees young Black musicians upload videos of themselves re-creating the Southside and Metro Boomin-produced banger. In the early going, the challenge has produced plenty of insanely dope iterations of one 2017's best songs.

One Twitter plays the same sort of flute that heard in the original "Mask Off," twerking a bit as she goes along. Another "Mask Off" Challenge participant throws uses a piano for a more ominous sounding version of the instrumental. Someone else uses a trumpet for their rendition of the track. All together, plenty of young Black musicians managed to do their thing, and we hope to see more entries.

For now, XXL takes a look at some of the best entries into the "Mask Off" Challenge up to this point. You can check them out in our list below.
