First Gluten-Free Brewery in Michigan

The very first gluten-free brewery in Michigan is coming to Grand Rapids and it's called Brewery Nyx's.

Fox 17 reported, that Brewery Nyx owner Jessica Stricklen said, "We are Michigan' first decicated gluten-free brewery. "

According to FOX 17, Stricklen hired beermaker Nick LaVelle who said, "I'm not doing anything weird or special to it in order to make it gluten-free. I'm just using gluten-free ingredients to make regular beer."

Do Gluten-Free Beers Taste The Same as Regular Beer?

By all accounts, the gluten-free beer looks and tastes similar to what you get at other breweries in West Michigan, the only difference is how they make it.

Where Can I Get Gluten-Free Beer?

Brewery Nyx released their beers in several retail stores in West Michigan back in December if you are looking to get a head start on trying some before the taproom officially opens.

Brewery Nyx is still going through the licensing process with the state of Michigan but hopefully, in the next few months, they will open their doors so all of West Michigan can enjoy an ice-cold gluten-free beer at the only taproom of its kind in the state.
