Another long-standing West Michigan festival has announced its cancellation, amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Fox 17 reports that the Dozynki Polish Harvest Festival has been officially canceled this year by organizers.  The festival which has happened in Downtown Grand Rapids since 1979 is the largest annual fundraiser for the Polish Heritage Society of Grand Rapids.

Adam Porczynski, Polish Heritage Society of Grand Rapids President told Fox 17,

“We are as disappointed about canceling the Dozynki festival as everyone else, but we felt it was the socially responsible thing to do.”

The annual event, which takes place at Rosa Parks Circle, has already been rescheduled for next year with the dates of August 27-29, 2021 being announced.
