Grand Rapids Children’s Museum Reopening this Month
After being closed through all of the pandemic, the Grand Rapids Children's Museum is finally reopening in a few weeks. Just in time to add to your list of summer activities to do with the kids.
GRCM announced they'll be open again to the general public on June 25th with reservations for tickets beginning June 15. Members get first dibs, though. The museum will be open on the 22nd for members and reservations starting the 14th. In addition, Tuesday's will be reserved for members only. A reservation is required for all guests.
The museum say they've enhanced their safety and cleaning protocols and capacity will be limited. All staff and guests will be wearing masks, too. Unfortunately, the museum's high-touch areas such as Imagination Laboratory and the water and sand stations have been limited. But there's a new exhibit for kids to enjoy like The Spin Zone, the newly-designed bubble tower, and the new Purple Cow ice cream shop added to the Little Grand Rapids exhibit.
Need a job or know someone who does? The GRCM is hiring! They are looking for people to be "play coaches." According to the job posting, you'll be responsible for interacting with parents and children, participation in classroom activities, collaborating with GRPS staff and other GRCM play coaches. This is a 5-week seasonal position and pays $15/hour. Get more info and apply here.
Grand Rapids Children's Museum will be open Thursday through Saturday with a special members only day every Tuesday.
