The Grand Rapids Griffins have announced their schedule for the 2020-21 American Hockey League season.

In total, the team has 30 games scheduled for the season.

The Griffins first home game will be held on Saturday, Feb. 20 at 4 p.m. against the Cleveland Monsters. The last time the Griffins played a home game at Van Andel Arena was March 11, 2020.

The Griffins are scheduled to play nine of their final twelve games at Van Andel Arena.

Grand Rapids’ schedule will be comprised entirely of Central Division rivals. They'll be playing ten games against Chicago, eight against both Cleveland and the Rockford IceHogs, and four against the Iowa Wild.

The Griffins will start their training camp on Sunday, Jan. 31 at Van Andel Arena.

In a release, the Griffins stated that they are hopeful that they will be able to host fans at home games at some point this season, but it is likely that the season will begin without fans in the stands.

The Griffins were force to cancel the end of their 2019-2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Yearly events such as the Great Skate had to be cancelled, as well. They were able to hold their annual Teddy Bear Toss back in December, but moved it to Griff's Ice House.

In late December, it was announced that the Griffins would return to the ice this season.
