GRPD Investigate Shooting Death on City’s Northwest Side

The Grand Rapids Police Department is investigating the death of a man on the the city’s northwest side.

According to a Facebook post by GRPD, at approximately 3 a.m. Friday, officers were called to a man found shot on the front porch of a residence in the 1300 block of Muskegon Avenue NW.

Upon arrival, officers located a 48-year-old male who was deceased.

GRPD say an autopsy will be conducted by the Kent County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The identify of the victim has not been released at this time. Police say there is no suspect information to provide.
