Help Michigan State Parks by Removing Invasive Plant

If you are interested in helping rid Michigan state parks of invasive plants, the Department of Natural Resources could use your help.

According to WOOD, state officials are looking for Michigan residents to help remove invasive plants from state parks. The state wants help in getting rid of garlic mustard plants that are threatening our parks habitats.

If you would like to participate or know someone who does, the DNR's website has the dates they need volunteers. Plus the site has a list of locations you can choose from an area near you. There are also registration forms and other pertinent information that you may need. There is a form that volunteers will need to fill out on the site or simply email freih@michigan.gov.
