With new daily COVID-19 cases still in the hundreds, many people are turning to absentee voting in the upcoming election this November.  But, many fear that their ballots won't be delivered in time due to the United States Postal Service becoming less and less reliable the last few months.

But there is no need to worry that your ballot will get lost in the mail or won't make it to your city clerk in time to be counted.  You can physically drop off your ballot to the ballot drop box for your jurisdiction.  The state of Michigan lists over 900 ballot drop off locations on their website and even offers a ballot tracker that will tell you where your absentee ballot is at any given time.

Getting an absentee ballot and dropping it off at your clerk's office is essentially the same process as going to the polls on election day and with the ballot tracker it can give you an even better sense that your vote was counted.  Sadly, you won't get an "I Voted" sticker, though.

You can drop off your ballot off as soon as you get it and up until the day of the election.  You can even change your vote if you drop it off early and decide later you rather vote for a different candidate.

You can get all the information you need to vote in person, absentee, or even early (starting September 21st), at the Michigan Voter Information Center.
