Here’s Why West Michigan Sunsets Will Be Glorious This Week
I don't know if you've been noticing the colorful sunsets that we've been enjoying the last few days, but there's a reason they're so vibrant.
West Michigan sunsets are traditionally the most beautiful of any I've seen in the country and this week they've been even more so, but why?
Smoke from the wildfires out west has infiltrated the atmosphere and has been inching its way east. It has reached us and it is filtering our sunsets into brilliant colors.
While it dulls the color of the skies, when the sun rises and sets, it also provides a screen for the sunsets to be viewed through, which makes them a little more orange and a little more red and even pink at times.
