The Lions 2021 schedule was released Wednesday, and it's not good. It's the sixth toughest schedule in the league. So how does that play out musically?

Lions fans already know the team made a giant statement in the off season by trading quarterback Matthew Stafford to Los Angeles, but rebuilding can be tough when faced with a monster schedule of rough games.

The team announced the dates and times for their 2021 season, and it's gonna be a tough slog for the Pride (as if it isn't always).

A 17th game has been added for 2021, so the Lions have a chance to beat their old record of 0-16 by going 0-17. (I'm full of optimism, aren't I?)

The season features a rematch with Stafford in October in LA, road games in tough places like Seattle and Atlanta. In addition to their home and home games with the three other teams in the NFC North, the Lions will also play every team in the AFC North including playoff teams Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Baltimore. And to add more misery, the team will also face every team in the highly competitive NFC West, which had the best winning percentage of any NFC Division last season.

OUCH!

In addition, the team released a playlist on Spotify to soothe the sad demeanor of fans who know what lies ahead.

Entitled "If the 2021 Season Was A Playlist", the song selection is mostly songs representing the cities they are about to do battle with including Bruce Springsteen's "Hungry Heart" for Baltimore, Otis Redding's "Sittin' On The Dock Of The Bay" for their road trip to San Francisco and Bob Seger's "Hollywood NIghts" for the Stafford reunion in Los Angeles.

Also included are some songs to show the resilience of the Motor City like Eminem's "Detroit Vs. Everybody" and KISS' "Detroit Rock City".

If the season sucks, at least the music will be good.
