I’m not going to say they’re starting over with the superintendent search for Grand Rapids Public Schools, because they didn't say it, but Thursday afternoon GRPS sent out the following email:

The Grand Rapids Board of Education met during a special board meeting today at 12:30 pm regarding the superintendent search process. After further consideration and deliberation, the Board voted unanimously to cancel the interview with River Rouge Superintendent Derrick Coleman. The Board also voted to schedule another work session this Monday, March 25 tentatively at 5:00 pm to discuss the superintendent search process.

So again, I’m not going to say they’re starting over but in my experience, as someone that’s been told we’re going to have another meeting to discuss our search process, that’s kind of what it means.

Personally, I would rather them take their time and find the right person since it’s about the quality of education for our future population.
