USA Today and 10Best sought to find the nations Top Ten Bed and Breakfasts. A panel of experts chose twenty from across the U.S., and then it was put up to a public vote.
Wickwood Inn in Saugatuck, Mich., has been voted the No. 3 best bed and breakfast in the entire country! This is not the first national recognition the retreat has gotten. Wickwood Inn has been featured in Forbes, Modern Luxury, Taste of Home, and more.
Originally built in 1937, the residence was once home to Frank Wicks, the mayor of Saugatuck in the 1950s.
In 1981, new owners transformed the home into an inn, styled after Brown's Hotel in London. Wickwood Inn claims to be Saugatuck's first bed and breakfast.
One block from the Kalamazoo river, the inn is conveniently located downtown Saugatuck, minutes from Lake Michigan.
Wildwood Inn boasts 11 unique rooms with luxury details in the bedding and furnishings. Guests are invited to take in the beautiful West Michigan sunset in the picturesque garden and enjoy a book by the cozy fireplace.
A seasonally inspired breakfast is served in the morning, along with locally sourced charcuterie in the evening.
