These Two Michigan Glamping Resorts Are Battling It Out Again for Best in the U.S

With new resorts popping up all the time like The Woods in Fennville and Post Card Cabins in Grand Junction, Michigan is truly becoming a glamping destination. Glamping is a great option when you want to be outside in nature, but not get too rustic.

Well two other Michigan glamping resorts are once again in the national spotlight. USA Today and 10Best are asking their readers to select the top glamping spots in America in 2026. A panel of experts has picked twenty retreats that combine "the simplicity of traditional camping with the indulgence of modern amenities and creature comforts."

It's now up to a public vote to determine the top ten.

Glamp Michigan Back in the Running

Glamp Michigan is once again representing Northern Michigan in the national contest.

Tucked into a private forest in Benzonia near Sleeping Bear Dunes, this spot offers luxury geodesic domes that feel more like a boutique hotel than a campsite. Guests get full kitchens, modern interiors, and large windows that bring the outdoors right in.

Last time around, Glamp Michigan landed in the top 10, coming in at No. 10 overall.

Beaver Island Retreat Looking to Climb Again

Also back on the list is Beaver Island Retreat, a remote getaway that has become a repeat contender.

Located on Beaver Island in Lake Michigan, this resort offers safari-style tents with high-end touches like memory foam mattresses, custom furnishings, and private porches.

It performed even better in the previous rankings, earning the No. 2 spot in the nation, and it is now aiming for the top.

The island itself adds to the appeal, offering a quiet, off-the-grid feel and access to one of Michigan’s designated dark sky areas, making it a dream for stargazing.
