Daisies Place Brunch Restaurant Opens Downtown Grand Rapids
According to Crain's Grand Rapids, new brunch restaurant, Daisies Place, is hoping to offer a "day party concept", catering "to people looking for all the fun, dancing, drinks and socializing of a nightclub without the late hours."
Owner Karmin Dixon-Kyle is the former owner of KD’s Sports Bar in Wyoming, which opened in 2019 and closed in 2020 due to the pandemic.
She tells Crain's,
I’m over 40, I don’t like to go out at night. I can’t party at night because by 8:30, I’m ready to go to bed...I’ve been to several cities where there’s places like this and it’s awesome. People are waiting in line to get in places like this. I’m hoping to bring that same feel to downtown Grand Rapids.
Daisies Place is named for Dixon-Kyle's grandmother.
The new restaurant is located in the Heartside District between HopCat and Bar Divani at 15 Ionia Ave. SW., Suite 140.
As of August 20, 2023, Daisies Place is officially open.
