Just over a half a dozen Detroit Lions have been selected for the NFC Pro Bowl. Who are they and will any of them play?

The last two seasons for the Detroit Lions have been a dream come true for the franchise and the fans.

The 2024 season has been the best for the Lions who currently have a record of 14-2 with one game left before the playoffs against the Minnesota Vikings.

The Lions set a franchise record of 14 wins in a season. This was the first Lions team to go 8-0 on the road. Safety Kerby Joseph is the first Detroit Lion to get 9 interceptions since Jack Christiansen in 1957. Kicker Jake Bates set a new record for most points scored in a season with 135. The list goes on for Lions players breaking records and that is why a chunk of the team has been invited to the Pro Bowl.

7 Detroit Lions Are Headed to the Pro Bowl

Quarterback Jared Goff has broken countless records in 2024 for the team and the NFL and a no brainer pick for the Pro Bowl.

Wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown has had an amazing year with six straight games scoring a touchdown. With 11 touchdowns this season and 11 100-yard games St. Brown is another no brainer for the Pro Bowl.

Offensive tackle Penei Sewell, center Frank Ragnow, and Punter Jack Fox are all part of the 5 starters from the Lions for the NFC Pro Bowl roster.

Running back Jahmyr Gibbs and safety Brian Branch will be backups for the 2024 Pro Bowl.

It was mostly offensive players from the Lions that made the Pro Bowl but I'm sure if Aiden Hutchinson and Alex Anzalone were not injured their names would have been on the roster as well.

Will the Detroit Lions play in the Pro Bowl? If the Lions become a Super Bowl team they will miss the Pro Bowl since it is played the week before the big game. Although it is a huge honor for players to make the Pro Bowl, it's a bigger honor to miss the game to play in the Super Bowl. I'm sure I know which bowl you want the Lions playing in.
