Have a Howling Good Time with Your Dog at Giant Pumpkin Carving Event in Grand Rapids
These earen't your average jack-o-lanterns! A fun Halloween event is coming up downtown Grand Rapids - and your dog is invited!
Giant Pumpkin Carving returns to Rosa Parks Circle October 31, 2024, 4p.m. to 8p.m.

At this dog-friendly event, watch professionals from Ice Guru Events create a massive work of art out of a giant pumpkin, plus score some freebies.
Michigan-based chef Randy Finch and his team of ice artists at Ice Guru are the stars of the Food Network Show, Ice Brigade, which shows how they craft ice blocks into out-of-this world art.

We'll have to see what fantastical design they come up with for this years massive pumpkin!
You and your dog are encouraged show up in your best costume! There will be free pet photos and a Dog Costume Parade that starts at Fido & Stitch and ends at Rosa Parks Circle. Plus, a dog food truck, Doggie Social Café, will be there.
Enjoy Olly's donuts and cider and play pumpkin tic-tac-toe. In years past, there have also been free pumpkins while supplies last.
Hosted by Downtown Grand Rapids Inc., the Live Giant Pumpkin Carving at Rosa Parks Circle is free to attend.

Organizers do encourage guests to use their best judgement when deciding to bring their dogs, saying, "If they are reactive towards other dogs or people, it's probably best to leave them at home this time."
