Michigan Landmark in the Running for Three Different National Awards

A panel of experts has chosen twenty hotels in each category and now it's up to a public vote.
I'll give you a hint... it's located on what was just named the No. 1 summer travel destination in the U.S.
It's none other than the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island!
First opening in 1887, the Grand Hotel has been enchanting guests with its beauty, history, and old-world charm for more than 130 years.

Of course, there's tons to do on Mackinac Island, from great restaurants, fudge shops, horse and carriage rides, Colonial Michilimackinac, to bike rides, and more.
Dubbed "America's Summer Place", The Grand Hotel has hosted hundreds of dignitaries and celebrities such as Gerald R. Ford, Bill Clinton, Steve Forbes, Robert De Niro, Madonna, Marie Osmond, Vince Vaughn, and Barbara Walters - to name a few.
The 1980 movie, Somewhere In Time, starring Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour was shot at the Grand Hotel, as was the 1947 film This Time for Keeps. (Fun fact, the hotel's pool was named for the star of the movie, Esther Williams.)

No stranger to accolades, The Grand Hotel claims the title for the world's largest front porch, at 660 feet. It was also recently named the prettiest hotel in Michigan.
