Visiting Grand Rapids? Check These Spots Out First

When you live in a city that has been consistently ranked on "Best Places To Live in America" lists, it's hard to pinpoint just one reason or place that makes Grand Rapids, the second largest city in the state of Michigan, a truly special place to be.

It could be the prominent craft beer scene, the lively downtown setting that is ripe with art, or community events like Irish on Ionia or the nationally recognized ArtPrize festival. It could be the many museums that are peppered around the city.

Basically, Grand Rapids has plenty of things to do and places to go, and while that is a good thing, it can also be rather intimidating to have so much to choose from. So, I've compiled a list of the premier things to do while you're in Grand Rapids, whether you live here or are visiting.

To assist with making this list, I went right to a virtual town square: the r/grandrapids subreddit. With over 100 comments at the time of posting, plenty of people had different ideas about what the best thing to do in GR is.
