Kent County Animal Shelter Over Capacity
Nov. 7, Kent County Animal Shelter shared to social media,
Today, we are caring for 95 dogs, surpassing our critical capacity. Beyond the list of strays and adoptable pets, numerous animals in the shelter are undergoing vet care, awaiting surgery, or in foster care due to their young age. Some dogs arrive in groups via law enforcement as evidence in criminal cases and must await a custody decision.
The shelter says it is committed to not using euthanasia as a population tool, and to keep that commitment, they need the help of the community.
