Lions Gift Super Bowl Tickets to Couple After Good Deed
A Grand Blanc, Michigan couple performed a kind act for a fellow sports fan that went viral, catching the attention of the Detroit Lions, who rewarded them with Super Bowl tickets.
Michigan Family Does a Good Deed
Heather and Joel Machemer of Grand Blanc were at Ford Field on October 20th for the Detroit Lions vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers game when they noticed a young man in their section, he seemed to be the only one not wearing a Lions jersey.
The young man, a complete stranger, was wearing a Detroit Pistons jersey with Joe Dumars’ name on the back. I’m not even sure he was born when Dumars was playing, but he and his friend were stunned when Heather handed him a brand-new Jahmyr Gibbs Lions jersey.
Jerseys at the Lions’ team store aren’t cheap, but the Machemers still made the young man’s day, an experience he’ll never forget. Someone captured the moment on video and posted it online, and it quickly went viral, eventually making its way back to the Lions organization.

Detroit Lions Reward Couple’s Good Deed With Super Bowl Tickets
The Detroit Lions invited Heather and Joel to the Thanksgiving game to thank them for their generosity toward the young stranger. The Machemers were welcomed onto the field, where a video played on the jumbotron in their honor.
Amon-Ra St. Brown said in a video, "Hey heather and Joel, I saw the video of you giving away that jersey during the Bucs game. A gesture like that is exactly what it means to be a Lions fan and we wanted to thank you with a gift." The couple were handed autographed Gibbs and St. Brown jerseys but it didn't stop there. The Lions cheerleaders surrounded them and then presented them with tickets to Super Bowl 60.
This was an amazing moment and one I'm sure Joel and Heather will never forget. If you have not seen the video, click below.
