Michigan Prisoner Jumps From Moving Vehicle Only To Land In The Hospital
A prisoner from Mecosta County was being transported to a Michigan Department of Corrections facility that he would make a run for it from a moving vehicle. Whatever he did to get prison time was his first mistake, his second was jumping out of a moving vehicle.
When you hear about prison escapes it's usually someone going over a wall or through a tunnel prisoners dug. I have heard of guards being in on the escape or a prisoner hiding in a laundry bin but jumping out of a moving vehicle is a first for me.
According to Fox 17, the prisoner somehow got the back door to open and jumped out around 7:40 Thursday morning while the vehicle was moving and it may cost him his life. The prisoner suffered life-threatening injuries and is currently in the hospital.
No word on how the prisoner got the door open but it's currently under investigation.
