We are extremely excited to introduce the cocktails portion of our business to the Grand Rapids Community. We worked extremely hard with our consultant Katie McAvoy, to develop a dynamic menu that will provide a unique cocktail bar experience, featuring local products.

ORIGINAL STORY: Grand Rapids' Alger Heights neighborhood is welcoming a new spot to grab coffee and cocktails!
Earlier this year, we told you that two current Alger Heights business owners planned to open a new beverage lounge - and now they've announced a soft opening.
Sip Coffee and Cocktails to Hold Soft Opening Starting October 26, 2022
A new coffee and cocktail lounge is set to open in southeast Grand Rapids.
Jonathon Foreman and Jon Frantz, co-owners of Urban Jonny's Hair Salon are the people behind the new Sip Coffee and Cocktails next door at 806 Alger St. SE.
For months, they've been transforming the former medical building into a space for folks to enjoy coffee, bagels, charcuterie, flatbreads, mocktails, and adult beverages.
A colorful mural of zinnias created by local artist Paige Rochefort adorns the outside of Sip Coffee and Cocktails.
Frantz tells Wood TV 8,
There’s been a lot of design changes: construction, inflation, all these variables came into play. And so it’s been going back and forth of getting to the finish line, but it’s been fun. It’s been fun and a good experience.
Sip Coffee and Cocktails will hold a soft opening starting Wednesday, October 26. Temporary hours are Monday through Saturday 7a.m. to 3p.m.
What Does Sip Coffee and Cocktails Serve?
The new lounge is awaiting its liquor license, so for now, Sip Coffee and Cocktails will be serving coffee-based drinks and non-alcoholic beverages.
According to Wood TV 8,
The owners are focusing on showcasing products made in and by people from West Michigan.
Sip will serve coffee from Bold and Gritty, a coffee company launched by Grand Rapids natives.
You'll also be able to enjoy bagels from Bagel Kitchen, a hand-rolled bagel and sandwich shop in East Grand Rapids.
Cocktails are crafted by local mixologist Katie McAvoy, who will be using house-made syrups, and spirits from local distillers.
