Stroh's Brewery was an institution in Detroit for 135 years. Detroit brewed Stroh's until 1985, and in 1999, Pabst Brewing Company purchased the brand. In 2016, Stroh's returned to being brewed in Michigan by Brew Detroit.

Stroh's was iconic in Michigan, but struggled to compete in the United States with brands like Anheuser-Busch, Miller, and Coors. The company struggled until it was sold, but people still remember the impact Stroh's once had on Michigan.

When Stroh's Beer Was Michigan's Favorite Brew

I remember watching the old Stroh's beer TV commercials from the 1970s while watching football with my dad. The catchphrase was, "From One Beer Lover to Another."
