Where is The Best Place to Grow Up in Michigan?

There are great places to grow up in Michigan but where would you suggest someone from another state to move to?

I grew up on the east side of Michigan, in the small town of Holly. I have been lucky enough to spend a lot of time in towns all across Michigan. There are a lot of great places to raise a family.

If someone asked me what town I recommend moving to from out of state I would say Holly because that is where I grew up and enjoyed it.  I would warn anyone considering moving here about the high auto insurance, daycare, property taxes, and high cost of living but if they have the money, the choices are endless.

What is a Great Place to Grow Up in Michigan?

Recently a Reddit poster with the handle "lakehousemouse", and posted on the Michigan Reddit page and asked, "Where would you want to grow up?" They live in another Midwestern state and are considering moving to Michigan to raise their family. They make big bucks so they have their pick of great towns saying they are drawn to Saugatuck, Grand Haven, Traverse City, or Grand Rapids.

Reddit poster "Milkweedhugger" said, "I spent most of my childhood in the Traverse City area and it was freaking awesome!" I'm impressed with how helpful those are on the Michigan Reddit page like "Jeffbx" who posted a link to the best school districts to choose from.

Reddit poster "Aggravating-Dig-4751" had great things to say about Grand Haven. "Bagle_Momma" perked the original poster of the thread interest when she brought up Mackinac Island.
