Battle Creek Police Help Catch Loose Cows
Thursday morning, around 9:30 a.m., Battle Creek Police were called to Halbert Rd.
When they arrived, they were greeted by an unusual sight.
Three cows had gotten out of their pasture and walked across the road to a nearby neighbor's garden bed that looked too good to resist and started chowing down.
Police were able to wrangle the bunch, which they named "The Halbert Herd" since they were found near the road, and got them back across the street to their owner's pasture.
While the Halbert Herd appear to be a group of sweet and innocent cows, don't let their looks fool you.
The Battle Creek Police Department charged the three with a long list of charges that included the following:
- Unlawful Moo-vement Across Halbert Road
- Fleeing The Scene Without Regrets
- Crimes Against Landscaping
- Attempted Moo-vement from Justice
- Unlawful Grazing in the First Degree
- Tampering with Tulips and Terrorizing Topsoil
The Battle Creek Police Department released body cam footage of the incident.
