A $50 Win Led This Michigan Man to a Life-Changing Lottery Jackpot

A Michigan man says that he is set for life after playing a newer Michigan Lottery instant game.

The man from Macomb County wanted to remain anonymous, but shared some details with Michigan Lottery officials when he recently made the trip to their headquarters in Lansing.

“I bought a Cash Train ticket when the game first came out and won $50, so when I was cashing out at the party store a few weeks later, I bought another ticket. I scratched all the numbers on the ticket first, and once I was done, I scratched the winning amount. As soon as I saw letters instead of numbers where the prize amount was printed, I knew I won big! I started shaking and couldn’t believe it was real.

“You never think this type of thing will happen to you, so I’m still in disbelief. Thanks to my big win, I’m financially set for life.”

The man decided to take the lump sum payment of $693,000.

This lucky Michigan man isn't the only person to win big playing the Michigan Lottery.
