You Can Now Check Out Board Games With Your GRPL Card
The Grand Rapids Public Library (GRPL) offers a ton of resources and services to cardholders.
Some of them you might already know about, but I bet there are several perks you didn't know are available to you.
Here Are Some Things You Can Get With A Grand Rapids Public Library Card
Board games: As of September 5, 2023, library cardholders can check out board games from a vast online catalog, from Candy Land to Battleship. This is a great way to try out new games without having to buy them.
Books, movies, and music: You can borrow books, movies, and music from the library's collection. You can also access digital collections and databases through the library's website.
Passes to area museums, zoos, and botanical gardens: The library has partnered with area attractions to provide patrons with the opportunity to use their library card to check out a pass to area museums, zoos, and botanical gardens.
Performing arts and sports tickets: Occasionally, local performing arts and sports venues provide tickets for Grand Rapids Public Library cardholders to check out.
Educational and entertainment resources for kids: The library offers a variety of resources for kids, including books, movies, and music. Kids can also access educational and entertainment resources through the library's website.
Access to other libraries: You can use your GRPL card to check out material from the Kent District Library. If the item you are looking for is available, you may go to the owning library to pick up the item. You may also place a hold on some Kent District Library materials. You will need to pick up and return the item at a KDL location.
