Kent District Library Wants To Reward Readers Who Stay Inside and Warm this Winter

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

If you're a snow lover, this winter has already been a treat for you. Lots of time to cuddle up with a hot chocolate, a blanket, and possibly a new book. It's the best way to wait out the winter months until we can get outside again here in West Michigan.

So if you're planning to snuggle up and dig into a new story, why not be rewarded?

The Kent District Library (KDL) is inviting adults and teens (11 and older) to participate in their Let It Snow winter reading program.

According to their website, participants who read or listen to six books from their Let It Snow reading categories between Jan. 3 and March 31 will earn a Let It Snow mug.

How do I participate in KDL's Let It Snow Winter Reading Program?

It's simple- you have between now and March 31st to read six books from a large list, then log them on their website.

The categories listed include romance, mystery, thriller, science fiction, poetry, and even biographies. Looking for something easy to pick up? They're also offering an entire category of books that became movies, so you can finally have the excuse you needed to read The Devil Wears Prada or The Lovely Bones.

No matter what you read, make sure you log it in order to grab one of their adorable coffee mugs that will go to all who complete the challenge.
