Growing up I had a variety of pets.

When I was in Elementary school I had a golden retriever for several years until he was tragically hit by a car after running away at night.

Several months later I became interested in Iguanas after learning about them in school and convinced my mom to let me get a green iguana.

I thought they looked so cool with their long spines and giant tails.

My mom took me to the local pet store and I got two green iguanas.

I don't remember both of their names, but I did call one of them 'No Toes' because the poor dude was missing half of them.

I had them for several years and eventually had to rehome them to a friend when we moved.

Finally, when I was in High school we moved out to the country on a couple of acres of land and my mom bought several horses.

She grew up and worked with horses for most of her teens and early 20s and wanted us to share her love of them with us.

I'll never forget the first time I rode a horse and could feel its muscles and how powerful it was.

Today my wife Lindsey and I have two awesome dogs named Benny and Paddy.
