New Michigan Themed Iconic Ice Cream Collaboration Flavors Coming from Faygo and Better Made
Ask someone to make you a Michigan-themed gift box and it's likely some of the food items would come from Faygo and Better Made.
Faygo is the Detroit area soda producer who brought the world Red Pop and Rock n Rye while Better Made is a longstanding producer of potato chips and other salty snacks.
A dairy has gotten into the mix and teamed with those two brands to create four new iconic Michigan-themed ice cream flavors. Browndog Creamery is set to launch the ice cream collaborations on June 26.
Meet the Flavors: A Taste of Detroit and Beyond
Here are the flavor combos:
Detroit Mix – Better Made Cheddar Cheese popcorn-infused ice cream with salted caramel
Snack Attack – Peanut butter ice cream with chocolate-covered Better Made pretzels
Motown Chip – Malted vanilla with chocolate-covered Better Made potato chips & caramel
Faygo Root Beer Float – Classic Faygo root beer meets creamy vanilla ice cream

The ice cream drops at Browndog locations in Northville, Oak Park and Lansing.
The question is, what other flavor combinations could they have used?
Faygo's Red Pop is notably absent. The strawberry-flavored soda would pair well with hunks of Better Made red licorice for a Very Berry flavor.

This isn't the only time Faygo has gotten into the collaboration game. Last year they made a Moon Mist Meringue Pie with Achatz Handmade Pie Co. In 2022 Browndog Creamery introduced a full line of Faygo-inspired ice cream.
