Debunking Growing Popular Myths About Michigan

Being that it is Halloween season, it’s time that we talked about some of the myths and urban legends that have haunted Michigan‘s history. So many people love talking about urban legends, particularly the creepy ones, including the Lemonheads of Allegan County, the Michigan Dogman, the Nain Rouge, and so many other creepy legends that it’s hard to distinguish what is fact and what is fiction.

It seems that every major town or village has some kind of urban legend or strange history that has yet to be debunked, which only grows the mystique of these unknown entities or areas. The fact of the matter is is a lot of these are just made-up stories to tell by the campfire or to creep out your friends, when in fact, there is no hard proof that some of these even exist.

That’s definitely not to say that they are not real, only that we have never gotten any hard evidence or physical proof that many of these things are real. That is up to each of us to try to seek out if we truly want the answers, but until then let’s take a look at some of these urban legends and whether they are fact, fiction, or unknown.
