We grew up being taught to respect our elders, but when our elders walk into Nelson Hardware in Portage and shake their pant leg to drop out a turd on the floor and then walk away, it’s hard to have respect for somebody like that.

Unbelievably, that is exactly what happened to them recently, and they have posted a video which you can view below showing the act.

Unfortunately, they’re asking the community to try to identify the man since they didn’t have any footage of him driving up in his car. They claim this wasn't an isolated incident from him.

They’re asking the community to reach out to him if they know him, and to have him contact the hardware store immediately. In the video, they described how they were torn on how to handle the situation:

While we have debated posting this, we believe that the actions of this man we 100% intentional and not an accident. We spend our days doing our best to respect our elderly and make life a little easier for everyone. Unfortunately we did not receive the same respect from this gentleman.

They went on to describe how this blatant disrespect caused damage to their property and inventory:

We have had to throw away a never-used-before product, the 2 filters directly next to where he shook this poop out are the most expensive ones you can get at $50 a piece, and now we had to throw them away. Along with a 3x10 rug and the numerous cleaning supplies needed. We need him to be trespassed from this store immediately so he cannot do it again and hopefully this post will save another small business owner from having to deal with a situation like this.

Have you ever had to shake a turd out of your pants, emergency style? I'm sure you at least tried to clean it up or tell someone you had an accident. I think that's all the hardware store owner would have liked.
