Fresh off of the success of his gold effort, 4 Your Eyez Only, J. Cole has returned with a new track for fans, "High for Hours."

The song, which popped up online overnight is basically an ode to President Obama, as Cole details what it was like to meet the president in detail, and what it meant to him.

"I had a convo with the president, I paid to go and see him," Cole raps. "Thinking bout the things I said I'd say when I would see him, Feeling nervous, sitting in a room full of white folks, Thinking about the black man plight, think I might choke."

The song praising the experience of meeting the nation's first and only black president is especially bittersweet with the impending inauguration of president-elect Donald Trump, and the fluctuating emotions of anger, bewilderment and fear that has engulfed many people as they wait to  see what he'll do once he's in office.
