‘Jeopardy’ Throws Shade at the Detroit Lions [Video]
It's always exciting when someone/something from Michigan is referenced in a game show and if you were watching Jeopardy on Monday night than you may have noticed the hometown love shade we were given.
One of the categories on Monday's episode was "Predictions by 2030" which included a football question worth $600.
As of 2018 this NFC North team had never even made the Super Bowl, much less won it. But by 2030? Gotta happen, right?
Ouch.
As if being a Lions fan wasn't bad enough now Alex Trebek has to rub it in our faces. As you can see in the video [posted by NFL Update] below, the contestant answered quickly and correctly. Per usual our loss is someone else's gain.
Even though the Detroit Lions won a national title in 1957, the Super Bowl was enacted in January of 1967 and in almost 52 years, they have yet to come close to making it to the Big Game. Their last playoff win was in 1991 and things aren't looking too good this year with a current standing of 4-7 in the NFC North Division.
Needless to say, anything goes at this point so here's to 2030!
