Jimmy Dean Sausage Recalled After Complaints of Metal Pieces
The latest in the string of recalls (lettuce, cake, meat, baby Ibuprofen) is almost 30,000 pounds of Jimmy Dean sausage links for possible "foreign matter contamination".
WZZM-13 reports that the USDA received five complaints of metal pieces in the ready-to-eat sausage links.
The frozen links were produced and packaged on Aug. 4, 2018.
The recalled products are 23.4-oz. pouches of “Jimmy Dean HEAT ’n SERVE Original SAUSAGE LINKS Made with Pork & Turkey” with a Use By date of Jan. 31, 2019. The products have a case code of A6382168 and an establishment number “EST. 19085”.
The USDA advises that you not eat the product and to throw it away or return it to where you bought it.
