Kanye West can add another historic milestone to his list of major feats in his music career, as The Life of Pablo has officially reached platinum status. The super producer's most recent album release has achieved RIAA platinum certification over a year after its release to all streaming platforms. While going platinum is nothing new to the Chi-Town rapper, the album being first streaming-only album to do so makes it the first of its kind.

The project has been streamed three million times worldwide and 1.5 million times in the U.S. It previously made history as the first streaming-only album to reach No. 1 on the Top 200 Billboard chart, becoming Yeezy's seventh No. 1 album. While there was some criticism around the album, as West continuously made changes to the project while it was already released, it has seen remarkable success through fans, media, and music critics worldwide.

Though the album never hit iTunes, it has been available to download via Kanye's own website. Billboard reported physical sales accounted for just 0.7 percent of its first week sales, however, and Pablo apparently met platinum certification without those sales.

`Ye said that he would be dropping a second album following the release of Pablo, but so far there doesn't seem to be anything on the horizon. Last year, the rapper was hospitalized during his Saint Pablo Tour due to exhaustion and sleep deprivation. Though he's been at work helping other people like Drake and Mary J. Blige, hopefully we can get another Yeezy solo album soon.
