Donovan Brazier breezed to a semi-final win this weekend in the 800 meter run at the World Track and Field Championships in Qatar.

Brazier, a 2015 graduate of Kenowa Hills has been one of the top competitors in the 800-meter event since leaving his collegiate career to turn pro in 2017.

Brazier will pace a USA team that landed all three of its qualifiers into the finals. Clayton Murphy and Bryce Hoppel also landed places in today's final which will go off at 3:10pm Eastern Time this afternoon from Doha, Qatar.

Brazier ran a personal best 1:42.70 in the 800 last month in Switzerland. That is just .01 off the American record, currently held by Johnny Gray.

Here's a look at Donovan's semi win, followed by his comments on the victory.

The USA has NEVER won the event in the history of the World Track Finals.
