Lil’ Kim Considers a “Ladies Night” Remix With Remy Ma
This past weekend, Lil Kim headlined a Winter Wonderland concert in Pennsylvania that included sets from The Lox, Carbi B and Remy Ma. With Remy dropping her Nicki Minaj diss "shETHER" on Saturday (Feb. 25), Kim, who has her own history with Nicki, had to offer up praise, hinting at an upcoming collaboration in the process.
"Let me give a shout out to my beautiful sisters that were on this stage earlier," Kim says in the Instagram video below. "Cardi B! That’s baby! Remy, bitch, I fucking love your ass. That’s my baby. Maybe y’all might see something in the future. How bout that? Another 'Ladies Night'…we might be due for that."
Kim is referencing her 1997 track "Not Tonight" otherwise known as "Ladies Night" which featured Da Brat, Left Eye, Missy Elliott and Angie Martinez. It would seem that Remy's dismantling has earned her not only a special spot in Kim's heart but on a new version of the track as well. "Not Tonight (Ladies Night Remix)" turns 20 this June.
While in Pennsylvania for the gig, Remy performed "shETHER," saying, "I don’t want to hear about your records and big numbers. I don’t wanna fuckin’ hear about it." This was Nicki's chief rebuttal to the diss, pointing to her many plaques and platinum records.
Catch Kim's comments below, with she and Remy potentially jumping on a track in the near future. While it's clear which side Kim is on, Taraji P. Henson plays coy when asked about the Nicki-Remy beef at last night's Academy Awards.
