The current building, the Beadle Building, was erected in 1900 from Greilickville brick. It housed a pharmacy, Cunningham Drugs, until the 1970s. After that, a Big Boy restaurant until 1997, when Mackinaw Brewing Company launched. The current owners, Rod and Lisa Langbo bought the business in 2002. They say they're now ready to retire, the Record Eagle reports.

I've eaten at Mackinaw Brewing Co. on a few trips to Traverse City and always liked it! My husband, in particular, is a big fan of their craft beers and smoked meats. I'll be interested to see if the next owners keep it the same or switch it up.
