Love Polish Food? Load Up on Pierogis and More at this West Michigan Pick-up Event
Food drive-up/ pick-up events have become more popular during the pandemic - and I think it's a great idea! You can get your carnival and food truck favorites while limiting contact with others.
There's a new pick-up event coming to West Michigan soon - If you're a Polish food fan, you're gonna want to check it out!
The Great Pierogi & Polish Food Pick Up will be at Rivertown Crossings Mall in Grandville this Saturday and Sunday, January 15th-16th, 10a.m. to 6p.m.
You'll be able to pre-order dishes from Polish food makers from across Michigan and Ohio and schedule a pick up time during the event at the temporary distribution center/ storefront, which is on the second floor in the wing formerly anchored by Sears. Organizers say you'll see Polish flags and signage pointing you in the right direction.
Offerings include different flavors of frozen pierogi, kielbasa, sauerkraut, stuffed cabbage, haluski, and more.
Some of the participating food vendors include:
• Gourmand Sausage Company
• J & I Concessions
• Krysia's Kitchen
• The Pierogi Lady
• Pierogi Palace
• Polish Pride of Michigan
• Srodek's Campau Quality Sausage Company
• Dutch Maiden Farm
• Your Cheesecake Lady
The organizers say,
This event is an exciting hybrid of a curbside pick up program we began in May 2020, when our 13 year old special events production company had to pivot from producing fairs and festivals to survive the absence of in-person events brought on by COVID-19. We have produced nearly 40 drive ups, served in excess of 10,000 customers and distributed just a little shy of 1 million pierogi. Once things began opening up, we were urged to come up with a way to keep this experience alive. A mall pick up like we are offering at Rivertown Crossings seemed like the perfect next step for this widely acclaimed program.
If you're interested, the deadline to order is January 12 at 9 pm.
This is one of a few different cool food events coming up in West Michigan soon! The first ever Noodle Fest is next month and also Michigan Street Poutine Week is returning this year.
