Michigan Man's Lottery Collection Fiasco
In the Mildly Infuriating Reddit thread, a Reddit user shared a rather 'mildly infuriating' situation that happen to them.
Imagine you are walking out of your house to see a bunch of lottery tickets lying on the ground.
Your first thought is most likely to go and see if you were just blessed with a huge come-up.
While many people would be excited to see a bunch of lottery tickets abandoned, however, it definitely was a slightly chaotic situation.
That looks insane, right? Also, that neighbor seems to be an avid Michigan Lottery customer.
As you may expect, many Reddit users shared their thoughts on how this person should (or should not) deal with their neighbor.
"Grab your neighbor and hold their legs securely so they are in a wheelbarrow position. Then, using their legs as handles, navigate them around the area making them pick up the tickets until they are all gone."
While many of the Reddit users were focused on the neighbor, one user thought it may be the garbage crew's fault.
Regardless of who and why there were Michigan Lottery tickets scattered around, this may be a great time for a reminder of Michigan's littering law.

Michigan's Littering Law
As you may realize, it is illegal to dump, place, throw, deposit, or leave litter on public or private property in Michigan.
With that law, you can already guess that this neighbor may or may not get in trouble if they are found.
In January of 2024, MLive shared that "littering would come with stiffer penalties in Michigan under advancing legislation that sponsors hope will deter illegal waste dumping."
House Bill 4323, passed on November 9th, 2023, makes littering a misdemeanor that would force you to pay at least a $2,500 fine.
