UPDATE: Child Unharmed Following Police Standoff

UPDATE: The suspect surrendered himself to police and the child was not harmed.

The Grand Rapids Police Department is currently surrounding a home in the 900 block of Watkins Street SE, according to our friends at FOX-17. 

In a Tweet on Tuesday afternoon, the GRPD says that they believe a 19-year-old man, who is armed, is in the home with a five-month-old child, whom he is threatening.

Crisis negotiators are on scene attempting to communicate with the man.
