Martin Lawrence Gets His Own Day In Detroit

The city of Detroit celebrated the actor and comedian with a special ceremony, where they presented Martin Lawrence with a proclamation stating that he had his own day in his honor.

From now on, August 30th will be a day honoring the legacy that Martin Lawrence has built over decades.

The best part is where this ceremony took place has an important meaning to Martin Lawrence.

Martin fans gathered around to celebrate Lawrence, who was emotional during the ceremony.
