Nostalgia is in the air!
If you are a fan of the sitcom "Martin," you will love this news, especially since it is Michigan-centric.
Martin Original
Spanning five seasons from 1992 to 1997, "Martin" was a household staple in the nineties sitcom era.
Co-created by Martin Lawrence, Topper Carew, and John Bowman, the sitcom created a lane of its own, becoming one of the greatest television shows ever, winning numerous awards.
In 2022, "Martin" celebrated its 30th anniversary with the cast reuniting for a special taping and the 75th Emmy Awards.
With the show still being a great success today, everyone is wondering if there will be a revival of some sort.
Martin Reboot
You may have gotten your wish if you wanted a reboot of "Martin."
Deadline reports that Martin Lawrence announced that his team is developing a new prequel series, "Young Martin."
In this new prequel series, set in present-day Detroit, viewers will see the journey of Martin Payne from childhood to adulthood.
We will get to see what Martin Payne went through to become the iconic character we love in the 90s version of the show.
As of our publication date, the show's release date has not been announced. However, I bet some people are ready to relive the glory days of "Martin."
Do not forget Martin Lawrence is coming to Grand Rapids at Van Andel Arena on August 31st. Tickets are still on sale now if you want to snag a few.
