Master P Wants to Help Colin Kaepernick Start His Own Football League
The last time an American football league tried to compete with the NFL, it failed. In 2012, the United Football League folded after just three years. But now, Master P is willing to create a new league and wants Colin Kaepernick to be a part of it.
During an interview with TMZ, Master P said the only way Kaepernick could get back in the league is if "we start owning things." He added, "Without real ownership, you have no control."
The rapper went on to say Kap can come play in his Global Mixed Gender Basketball league or he can help him start his own football league. "I'll help him start his own league. Maybe that's what I might do next -- start the football next."
Earlier this week, it was reported that Kaepernick had filed a grievance against the NFL under the collective bargaining agreement for collusion. The NFL quarterback hired high-profile attorney Mark Geragos to represent him.
“This was done only after pursuing every possible avenue with the NFL teams and their executives,” Geragos said in a statement.
Since the start of the 2017 NFL season, Kaepernick has remained unsigned by an NFL team. Check out Master P's interview below.
